DYNAMOS midfielder Ronald Chitiyo has refused to accept individual credit after a successive week earned his side maximum points with crucial goals.
The diminutive linkman lit up the Harare giants’ Good Friday when his late strike earned them a 1-0 victory over visiting Dongo Sawmills at Rufaro Stadium.
Six days earlier, his goal saw off Chapungu at Ascot Stadium to secure three points off a slender win.
But Chitiyo is not allowing himself to bask in the heroic status.
“Football is always about teamwork. My teammates are also there to help us win matches,” Chitiyo said.
“They also deserve credit because they are doing a good job. I am just playing my normal game and I just want to commit myself to the cause of the team.”
After three rounds of matches, Dynamos top the PSL standings with a 100% record and, impressively, are yet to concede.
Apart from Chitiyo being a hitman, Dynamos’ defence has also been applauded for ensuring the clean slate.
“Look at our defence, they have been solid and if they continue doing that I am sure we can go far this season. We work as a team here at Dynamos,” Chitiyo said.
Dynamos face CAPS United in their next league match.
