Dynamos 1-0 Caps United
IT WAS nothing much to write home about, but Dynamos are known to grind results from nothing and on Sunday, they did just that to beat Caps United and sail through to the last four of the Net One One Wallet Cup at the National Sports Stadium.
And with eight minutes left to play Simba Sithole – in his only contribution in the match – found some space on the left and squared the ball into the box and Rodreck Mutuma met it first time to send Dynamos fans into raptures.
Clearly elated at scoring in the Harare Derby, Mutuma wheeled away and took off his shirt earning an unnecessary yellow card. In fact, he could have scored two but Caps United goalkeeper Jorum Muchambo saved the ball on the line after Mutuma had headed an Ocean Mushure free kick.
From a vantage position, the ball seemed to have crossed the line, but the referee was not moved by the Dynamos appeals.
Caps tried to fight back but Themba Ndlovu stood firm in the Dynamos defence, clearing all danger in the box.
Full of praise for his striker … Dynamos coach Calisto Pasuwa
