DYNAMOS chairman Kenny Mubaiwa has challenged the club to leave a lasting impression in next year’s Caf Champions League.
The PSL champions have failed to get past the group stages in the past three seasons.
Mubaiwa said they would be fighting to get into the final of the continental competition and surpass the 1998 feat of storming into the finals.
“In 1998 we got into the final so what can we fight for right now? We have to achieve more than that and this means we have to win it. We have quality players who can make us achieve that dream so we will fight on until the end,” Mubaiwa said.
Dynamos lost to Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas in the Caf Champions League final in 1998.
In 2008 they fell down to Cottonsport of Cameroon in the semifinals.
“We are a brand in Africa and that is undisputed. There is need to get back to where we belong. We have been trying to motivate players so that we attain our set goals of impressing in Africa. At least they now know of what us expected from them,” Mubaiwa said.
The Harare giants are set to renew contracts of key players while Fifa banned Devon Chafa is rumoured to be on the books of FC Platinum.Advertisement
