Dynamos, Ngezi in 1-0 wins as Bosso routed 3-0

PREMIERSHIP giants Dynamos scored late against Chapungu to keep their 2017 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League championship hopes alive at the National Sports Stadium Sunday.
Elsewhere, surprise contenders Ngezi Platinum returned to the top of the table with a 1-0 defeat of relegated Bantu Rovers in Bulawayo while Highlanders suffered a humiliating 0-3 defeat to Hwange FC.
Dynamos’s all important goal came off Quality Kangadze’s head in the 89th minute after the former champions had had probed and probed unsuccessfully for almost the entire match.
The Harare side were the better outfit of the afternoon, but were let down by inept shooting in front of goal.
In post-match interviews, goal scorer Kangadze said he was elated by the priceless goal which came just when the popular side’s fans were leaving the stadium in frustration.
The win saw Dembare take their points tally to 61, two behind pacesetters Ngezi Platinum and FC Platinum.

Meanwhile, at Luveve Stadium, visiting Ngezi narrowly beat premiership whipping boys, Bantu Rovers to take their points tally to 63.
A strike in the first half by Donald Tegure saw Ngezi return to the top of the premiership table by virtue of a superior goal difference over joint leaders FC Platinum.
At the Colliery, relegation -threatened Hwange FC clobbered fading giants Highlanders 3-0 to better their chances of surviving the chop with three matches left to end the season while Triangle FC beat visiting Harare City 2-1 in a match played at Gibbo Stadium.
And in games played before Sunday, FC Platinum were 3-0 victors over Sunday Chidzambwa’s ZPC Kariba at Mandava Stadium while fellow Zvishavane side, Shabanie Mine saw their chances of surviving the chop fade in a 1-all draw with Black Rhinos at Morris Depot.
Prophet Walter Magaya’s Yadah FC also produced the right miracle to beat Bulawayo City 2-0 while Chicken Inn beat Tsholotsho 1-0 to condemn the Matebeleland North side to relegation.
In the other game, champions Caps United were 1-0 victors away to How Mine.
