DYNAMOS players are refusing to train, demanding an increase in draw bonuses and also complaining their welfare is being ignored by the club executive.
The dispute has undermined the club’s preparations for their Chibuku Shumba Cup first round match against army side Black Rhinos.
The players boycotted training on Tuesday and Wednesday demanding that the executive address their grievances first.
A player who spoke on condition of anonymity said they were awarded an increment in their winning bonus but there was no upward adjustment for the draws.
The player said the winning bonuses vary, depending on the game and negotiations with club officials while payments for draws remain pegged at $50.
“The players are worried that there was no increment for the draw bonus after we were given an increment in winning bonus,” said the player who asked not to be named.
“We have been getting $200 as winning bonus but it was increased to $300 but there was no increment on the draw bonus which is currently $50. The players are also concerned about other issues related to our welfare.
“Some of the players who injured are not being looked after and are paying medical bills for themselves.”
The industrial action by Dynamos players comes at a time they meet red hot army side Black Rhinos at Gwanzura on Sunday.
Rhinos have been enjoying top form since Jostein Mathuthu took over as coach.
The army side have not tasted defeat since they were edged 2-1 by Dynamos in a league match on July 6.
In their past five games, Rhinos won three matches and drawn two, including a 1-0 win over Bulawayo giants Highlanders two weeks ago.
Striker Lot Chiwunga struck a stunning solo goal which handed Highlanders their second defeat of the season.
They also beat How Mine by a single goal in back-to-back clashes in the league before holding the champions to a 0-0 draw at Rimuka Stadium — a result which has given them much-needed motivation going into the Chibuku Cup at the weekend.
In the Chibuku Cup draw, the top eight teams as of Week 15 of the Premier Soccer League — Highlanders, ZPC Kariba, Dynamos, Caps United, Hwange, Buffaloes, FC Platinum and How Mine — were seeded and paired against the bottom eight as of mid-season.
Highlanders were drawn to face Shabanie Mine while Caps United take on Chapungu and ZPC Kariba face Harare City.
Bulawayo sides How Mine and Chicken Inn will clash in the first round of the matches, while FC Platinum, now under Norman Mapeza who took over from Lloyd Mutasa, face Bantu Rovers.Advertisement

Buffaloes have a date against Chiredzi, while Hwange will take on Triangle.
