DYNAMOS travel to Bulawayo on Sunday for the second leg of The Battle of Zimbabwe hoping to restore lost league pride against fellow giants Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium.
After a ten year spell of Dynamos dominating Highlanders in league games, the Bulawayo giants final upstaged Dynamos 2-0 in Harare in May this year.
Naturally while the result was a big triumph for Highlanders, it was a travesty in the Dynamos camp.
Now the Harare giants are seeking revenge on Sunday.
Dynamos manager Richard Chihoro said they will be out on Sunday to ensure they secure victory.
“Our target is to do well and win this game. We might have to lose to them (Highlanders) this year but it was not the end of the world for us and we can come back this weekend,” Chihoro said.
“We know how to win these games and we will employ the same attitude that saw us beating them in the past 10 years. We just have to have the correct state of mind and bounce back. You know at Dynamos losing to Highlanders is not something that our fans take lightly. We will play to make them happy.”
A loss to Highlanders will see them complicating chances of winning the league title for the first time in ten years.
Highlanders trail leaders FC Platinum by six points with eight matches to go before the season concludes.
