DYNAMOS have snatched left back Qadr Amini from FC Platinum on a two year deal as they continue their rebuilding exercise.
Amini though had been registered with Platinum for the Caf Confederation Cup and the Zvishavane side was on Thursday running around trying to get a last minute replacement for the player.
January 15 was the final deadline for the registration of squads for the Caf inter-club competitions after the initial 25-man squads were registered on December 31. Clubs then had until Tuesday to add five more players if they so wished.
Amini trained with Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium on Thursday and has been handed the number 23 jersey.
“He has been offered a two year deal as per our new thrust this season,” said club secretary general Webster Chikengezha.
The former Under 23 captain has been at Platinum since 2011 and also played in the team’s Champions League appearance in 2012 before suffering a horrific injury that kept him out for the rest of that year and the first half of last season.
He returned last year under then coach Lloyd Mutasa, but when the former Dynamos mentor was dismissed, Amini found little game time under new coach Norman Mapeza, who preferred the duo of twins Elvis and Kelvin Moyo.
His contract expired on December 31 last year, but had been offered an extension which he turned down in favour of a return to the capital.
Dynamos have said they will not offer any player a one year contract as their focus was on building a team for 2016 to take part in the Caf Champions League.
“We don’t want to go back to the boardroom to negotiate with players at the end of every season. It kills continuity in the team and so we are doing away with one year contracts and offering two years and above,’ Chikengezha said.
Those that have accepted the new arrangements are former Caps United striker Kelvin Bulaji, Godknows Murwira, formerly of Shabanie Mine and Obey Mwerahari who finally joined on Thursday after a protracted move from ZPC Kariba.
Senior players like Devon Chafa, Russel Madamombe, Simba Sithole, Rodreck Mutuma, Ocean Mushure and Tafadzwa Rusike have not signed new deals.
Chafa is understood to have been given the green light to seek for a new team.
Defender Temba Ndlovu has left for Harare City while Ronald Chitiyo has left for Royal Eagles in the South African Division One league.Advertisement

The two captains from last season, under then coach Kalisto Pasuwa, Thomas Magorimbo and Murape Murape have not been offered new deals while Washington Pakamisa is headed to Mozambique rich boys Liga Muculmana.
