Dynamos striker Chinyama struggling with injury

DYNAMOS forward Takesure Chinyama could miss the beginning stages of the upcoming season due to injury.
The 33-year-old has been enduring recurring injuries since his return from Poland in 2012 and that has seen him being offloaded by South African giants Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars.
Since Dynamos regrouped for pre-season last month, Chinyama has taken little part in the preparations with a pulled muscle.
Dynamos manager Richard Chihoro said the big forward could miss the start of the 2016 PSL season but has slight chances of recovering on time.
“Takey (Chinyama) has not been consistent this pre-season and it is something for us to worry about a bit. The doctors are closely attending to him and we hope for the best,” Chihoro said.
“If he manages to recover before the start of the season then it would be a big advantage for us.
“But as for now we are not clear about when he could be fully fit since there are still chances that he could miss the beginning of the season. But we believe he will be fine as early as possible.”
Besides the injury, Chinyama was due to miss three PSL or officially sanctioned matches after being found guilty by the league’s disciplinary committee of violent conduct towards referee Philani Ncube last season together with striking partner Roderick Mutuma.Advertisement
