EasyCall semis draw set for Tuesday

NEWLY crowned Premier Soccer League champions Chicken Inn await with bated breath the semi-final draw of the $433,000 Easy Call Cup on Tuesday as they bid to complete a memorable league and cup double.
Chicken Inn beat Harare City 3-1 on Saturday to win their maiden league title.
To reach the last four of the competition, Chicken Inn beat ZPC Kariba 4-3 on penalties after the match had ended 0-0 after regulation time.
Going into the hat with them are deposed league champions Dynamos, rising Harare giants Caps United and resurgent Highlanders.
Dynamos edged How Mine 1-0 while Caps United made light work of Hwange 3-1.
Bosso were the biggest winners of the last eight when they stunned FC Platinum 1-0 in their fortress Mandava with the country’s leading scorer Knox Mutizwa scoring deep into injury time.
There will be no seeding in the semi-finals this time, unlike in the opening round where Dynamos, Caps United, Platinum and ZPC enjoyed home advantage.
Bulawayo will be hoping to host their first match in the history of the top eight cup after being snubbed again in the quarterfinals, but again, that depends who comes out first in the hat.
Winners set to pocket $80,000, runners up $50,000, while losing finalists get $30,000. Losing quarter-finalists will get $20,000 each.Advertisement
