Eswatini Reports First Confirmed Case Of Coronavirus

THE health ministry in eSwatini (Swaziland) has reported the first confirmed case of coronavirus in the small, land-locked country.

A 33-year-old woman, who returned from the United States at the end of last month and then travelled to Lesotho before going back home to eSwatini, is currently in isolation.

Eswatini is the latest country in the continent to report a COVID-19 case.

Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and guinea announced their first confirmed cases on Friday as the disease has now spread to at least 18 African countries.

While Egypt has reported 13 new cases bringing the total of detected cases in that country to 93.
Both Algeria and Egypt reported their second deaths from the novel coronavirus on Thursday.
