Fans abuse Pasuwa as Dynamos struggle

A PATRICK Khumbula first half strike earned Dynamos three points against visiting Triangle on Sunday but that was not enough stop fans from abusing coach Callisto Pasuwa after the final whistle.
As Pasuwa made his way to the dressing rooms, a section of some fans hurled insults at him at the tunnel entrance in protest over a lacklustre performance by the Harare giants who could have won by a wider margin had they not been wasteful upfront.
Chief culprit in fluffing the numerous chances was forward Simba Sithole who surprisingly lasted the entire match despite some loud booing by the fans.
Dynamos grinded their way to three points, but it was not an afternoon to cherish.
They are now in third position on the league table with a point behind leaders Highlanders.
Their standing is a clear indication of smash and grab antics they employed last season on their way to a third successive league title.
Khumbula unleashed a powerful drive at acute angle on 27 minutes to seal matters for Dynamos.
Sithole’s misses began early into the match when he broke loose but was blocked by Triangle goalkeeper Ronald Mudimu while Ronald Chitiyo blasted wide the rebound with Mudimu yet to recover.
Chitiyo was always a threat for the visitors before he went to sleep for the rest of the first period.
Triangle tried to come back with Pascal Manhanga whose weak shots did not trouble George Chigova while Khumbula resorted to long range shots for Dynamos.
Chitiyo woke up from his slumber following the introduction of Walter Mukanga late into the game with perfect efforts that Mudimu impressively dealt with.
That was a period when Sithole fluffed chance after chance mostly after coming face to face with Mudimu.
