ZIMBABWE Premier League side FC Platinum has organised a training camp in South Africa, as part of their preparations for pre-season.
FC platinum finished in second place in the local Premier League in 2016 which ran from April to November.
The side is planning to play friendly games against some of the big guns from the PSL, during their scheduled two-week training camp in Mzansi.
Football agent Michael Ngobeni, from M Sport Management, has helped to organise the training camp for the club. Ngobeni has confirmed to the Siya crew that PSL giants Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits are some of the clubs that have been contacted about the possibility of playing practice matches.
“The team from Zimbabwe is scheduled to land at the airport at 16h30 today (Wednesday). They are set to be here for 16 days. So, I have contacted Chiefs, Pirates and Wits. This is the team that finished second in their league. It’s a big club there. Walter Musona is one of their stars. He scored 10 goals. He is the player to watch,” said Ngobeni.
Former Ajax Cape Town midfielder Norman Mapeza is the coach of the side.Advertisement
