FC PLATINUM are yet to decide on whether to keep coach Lloyd Mutasa whose contract expires at the end of the year.
Mutasa replaced Tenant Chilumba who left the club midseason to join Power Dynamos in his native Zambia.
This comes amid reports that the platinum miners are planning to snap Kelvin Kaindu who is expected to renew his stay at Highlanders.
“At the moment we have not yet made any decision on Lloyd. We will have to meet and map the way forward soon after New Year,” Mawere said.
Mawere however expressed gratification at Mutasa who led FC Platinum to a top-four finish with four points behind champions Dynamos.
“Lloyd did well there is no doubt about that. He is a true professional who understands the club’s vision and shares it with us. We appreciate what he did and were considered as title contenders for the better part of the season,” Mawere said.
Sources at the club however say Mutasa has already targeted players he wants to work with next season.
Shabanie Mine striker Tarisai Rukanda has already agreed terms with FC Platinum.
Midfielders Charles Sibanda, Joel Ngodzo and Welcome Ndiweni have already publicly stated that they want out of Mandava Stadium.Advertisement
