FC PLATINUM veteran defender Daniel Vheremu says their international friendly match against Zambian side Power Dynamos at Mandava on Saturday is crucial as they seek to make a mark in the Caf Confederations Cup this year.
Norman Mapeza’s men regrouped last Thursday ahead of the Zambian team led by their former coach Tennant Chilumba.
Chilumba was coach of the Zvishavane-based side before he returned to his native Zambia where he took over the reigns at Power Dynamos.
Power Dynamos are also taking part in the same tournament and have a date with Khartoum Football Club of South Sudan on February 13 while the Zimbabwean side will clash with Sofapaka of Kenya.
“This match is very crucial to us,” said Veremu.
“It gives us a good practice ahead of our African campaign so we are taking it seriously. We always play to win.
“It will be an interesting match as we will be meeting our former coach. Our aim is to make a mark in this tournament.”
