FC Platinum seek redemption against Chicken Inn

Spread This News

FC Platinum could be in action this weekend to face Chicken Inn in a league match, depending on how the Warriors fare at the Cosafa Cup in Namibia.
Chicken Inn have provided five players to the national team thereby forcing their league matches to be postponed by the PSL.
If the Warriors bow out of the Cosafa Cup, they would be back home, making Chicken Inn players available to face FC Platinum at Luveve Stadium on Saturday.
In that scenario, it would be a tough task for FC Platinum who last weekend lost their first league match in over a year.
ZPC Kariba visited Norman Mapeza’s side at Mandava Stadium to halt a 28-match unbeaten run that had stretched from early last season.
Now FC Platinum are out to bounce back against Chicken Inn.
“We knew it that one day or another we were going to lose. We are a team just like any other in the league and we are always bound to lose matches,” Mapeza said.
“Now we just have to maintain focus and work hard to recover in our next games. We have a tough upcoming match against Chicken Inn but that is a must-win for us. What we do not want is for the boys to lose confidence.”
The platinum miners lead the log standings with two points ahead of their closest rivals Caps United and ZPC Kariba who are tied on 18 points.Advertisement
