FC Platinum take on Chicken Inn in weekend games

FC PLATINUM will be hoping for their second Castle Lager Premier Soccer League win on the trot when they host Chicken Inn at Mandava on Saturday.
Platinum beat Flame Lily 3-0 on Wednesday for their first win of the season after goals from Thabani Kamusoko, Walter Musona and Donald Ngoma. The win was a welcome boost having started off with a 2-2 home draw and a 1-0 loss to Caps United.
Wednesday’s win saw Norman Mapeza’s boys move from 14th to eighth place on the league table with four points, three behind the trio of ZPC Kariba, Highlanders and Caps United.
Platinum have a game in hand after their match against Harare City last week was postponed as they were playing in the Caf Confederation Cup.
Chicken Inn are third on the table with nine points after three wins from four matches and will be seeking a win of their own to keep track of the leading duo.
In other weekend matches, ZPC host Dongo Sawmills on Saturday at Gwanzura and with the form of leading scorer Raphael Manuvire, there is no doubt Saul Chaminuka’s men are gunning for maximum points to close the gap on leaders Triangle and Dynamos.
Manuvire has scored four times in three matches.
