FC Platinum’s Mapeza wants Chibuku Cup

FC PLATINUM coach Norman Mapeza has set his sights on lifting the Chibuku Super Cup final where they face Harare City.
The platinum miners saw off Black Rhinos on Saturday to book a final berth courtesy of a Walter Musona second half strike.
It is the second time this season for FC Platinum to reach a final of a major competition after lifting the Independence Trophy in April under former coach Lloyd Mutasa.
Mapeza joined the Zvishavane side mid-season and three months into his job, he has already progressed into a final of the Chibuku Super Cup.
“It is the dream of every coach and players to reach the final of any tournament. I am happy we just did that by getting into this Chibuku Cup final,” he said.
“We are now looking forward to the final where we hope to win this Cup. We will work hard towards that like we have been doing.
“The boys played very well and according to instructions. They showed we have what it takes to win it and that is the character I expect from them in the final.”
FC Platinum beat Black Rhinos through a similar scoreline last month in a league match away from their Zvishavane base.
