Former premiership top goal-scorer Nelson Maziwisa joins Triangle

FORMER PSL top goal-scorer Nelson Maziwisa is looking to revive his career after finally finding home at Triangle FC.
Maziwisa top-scored the PSL charts in 2012 while on-loan at Shabanie Mine from FC Platinum.
But after that his career appeared to have taken a nose-dive, falling into a periphery player after returning to FC Platinum before being subsequently loaned out to WhaWha last season.
Injuries also blighted his career but he was released by FC Platinum at the end of last season.
He now appears a rejuvenated player with Triangle assistant coach Biggie Zuze describing him as an “important” player.
“Nelson is now fully fit and I believe he can be the kind of player he used to be. He is going to be a very important player for us this year,” Zuze said.
“From the games we have played this pre-preseason he has been doing very well. That is why I have some confidence in him. We are trying to build a strong team after we lost a number of guys to other teams during this pre-season. The league will be starting soon and I am happy we have recovered.”
Triangle lost former coach Kelvin Kaindu to How Mine and he was replaced by David Mandigora.
Kaindu took with him Pasca Manhanga, Mukundika Sakala and Praise Tonha to How Mine as former captain Chasten Ngondonga left for newly-promoted Mutare City.
Triangle also lost goalkeeper Ashley Reyners and Tichaona Chipunza to Dynamos while Jimmy Dzingai joined Harare City with Hillary Bakacheza departing for FC Platinum.
The club has however signed goalkeeper Marion Chang from Tsholotsho together with Charles Mukanhairi from ZPC Kariba.
They are on the verge of competing the signing of former Dynamos captain Guthrie Zhokinyi.Advertisement
