THE Free to Worship Gospel group Saturday played before a full house, treating fans to an intimate, nostalgic night of reminiscing as they performed the crowd’s favourite songs from all four of their projects.
The show was held at the Centre for Carnival Arts in Luton.
True to African tradition, musicians (Aaron Manatsa, Obert Mazivisa, Munya Mhunduru, Elizabeth (Liz) Sibanda Adams, Loveness Mukutirwa, Zex Taku Manatsa, Dumi Ncube, Cleopatra Mugadza, Emily Rutendo Changa, Ashley Tafadza Kupaza, Bridget Ndanga, Sharon Manatsa, Elizabeth (Liz) Mhlanga, Tsungai Tsikirai, and Praise Chirombo) emerged through the isle and greeted their audience with the customary, curtseying and clapping.
They shook hands, nodded heads, smiled and spoke with their fans.
Perhaps music director Aaron Manatsa put it in a nutshell when he said: “The concert was all about the fans, as they (artists) had taken their journey together with the fans.
