A 10-MEMBER French delegation is in Zimbabwe to explore business opportunities in the southern African country.
Led by Gerard Wolf, the delegation has been in Zimbabwe since Tuesday evening for a two-day visit during which it is expected to meet government and business leaders.
The delegation is expected to hold a meeting with senior government officials, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority, the Zimbabwe Investment Authority and representatives from the private sector.
The delegation is made up of representatives of the French financial services, energy, transport and ICT sectors.
Some of the companies represented include leading power generation and transmission Alstom, engineering and consulting group Egis and Eutelsat, one of the world’s leading satellite operators.
The visit follows a similar trip to France organised by the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries.
France and Zimbabwe are working to improve economic relations as scores of French companies seek to invest in the southern African country.Advertisement
