AFTER venting his anger on his defenders last Sunday when ZPC Kariba surrendered their lead to succumb 2-1 to Dynamos, Sunday Chidzambwa has now turned the fire on his forwards following Wednesday’s 1-1 league home draw with How Mine.
The stalemate stretched Chidzambwa’s jinx to six games as he has never won a league game with ZPC Kariba since assuming the reigns in June.
ZPC Kariba’s winless run also stretched to nine games and they have never tasted victory at their Nyamhunga Stadium home where they relocated in May.
Veteran forward thrust ZPC Kariba ahead on Wednesday before they again surrendered their lead to let How Mine come back to grab an away point through Kuda Musharu.
“It seems the strikers were not willing to score. In the end we got punished and that is what happens when you do not bury chances that come your way,” Chidzambwa said.
“We should have won this game by a very big margin but the strikers looked jittery in front of goal. We dearly paid for that.
“We have ourselves to blame. If you do not score you do not win because it is goals that win matches.”
Chidzambwa faces another gigantic assignment on Saturday when ZPC Kariba visit FC Platinum who best them 3-0 in the reverse fixture.
