Godzo voted coach of the year as Bantu Rovers dominate Southern region awards

SOUTHERN REGION division one champions, Bantu Rovers, are on cloud nine following a successful season where they dominated the Liquor Hub regional awards ceremony to honour the most outstanding players of the season.
Banked rolled by Bulawayo businessman, Ras Modi, the awards were held on Sunday at Liquor Hub Wholesale offices.
Tshintsha Guluva, as Rovers are popularly known, produced the region’s best players of the year with Fortune Nkomazana voted the best player. He was rewarded with $300.
Bulawayo chiefs midfielder Rainsome Pavari came as the 1st runner up whilst Bukhosi Sibanda was the 2nd runner up. Sibanda and Pavari walked away with $200 and $150 respectively.
Bantu Rovers coach Johannes Ngodzo, who steered the largely youthful side to the championship, emerged as the coach of the year winning $300 in cash.
Anti-riot police side, Black Boots Football Club, produced the league’s top goal scorer, Tashinga Mungadze, who scored 15 goals. He received $150 cash for his achievement.
