A RUN out of 75 minutes for Kudakwashe Mahachi for Zimbabwe in their international friendly against Tanzania last Sunday came as music to Clinton Larsen’s ears as one of his key squad members continues his comeback from injury.
Mahachi started for his country and got through more than three quarters of the game before being replaced by Cuthbert Malajila of Bidvest Wits in a 3-0 win in Harare.
“That has helped his match fitness come on nicely,” said Larsen, who has used the 23-year-old winger as a substitute in his last two matches.
Mahachi played for Arrows in their opening game of the season against Orlando Pirates but suffered a right arm injury at training that needed surgery.
It kept him out for two months until a comeback match against Pirates in the Telkom Knockout followed by appearances off the bench against Maritzburg United and Platinum Stars in the league.
Mahachi is now expected to get his third start of the season when Arrows meet Highlands Park in the Absa Premiership in Tembisa on Sunday.Advertisement
