UK-BASED Zimbabwean winner of the Chairman’s Award for the Upcoming Artist of the Year at the recent ZIMAA Awards Walter Chahwanda is a gifted and humble young gospel minister.
Chahwanda continues to take the scene by storm with his popularity among Zimbabweans in the Diaspora soaring by the day.
The young artist is a nominee for the Best Music Video and Best Male Gospel Artist of the Year.
“I am so humbled by what God is doing in my life I did not expect this, I feel very  honoured to have been nominated on this great platform, all glory goes to God  at the ZIMAA Awards,” Chahwanda said on receiving the award.
‘Oh Give Thanks’ is a sensational first single released earlier on this year from his UK base. In this piece, Walter a singer and songwriter shows passionate and thanksgiving lyrical heart to the Almighty God and yet delivering a catchy and unique rhythm.
The video will leave most gospel fans inspired and uplifted by a performance beyond the artist’s age and experience. 
Chahwanda illustrates the soul of a true worshipper, his biblical wisdom and faith that resonates not only to Zimbabwean culture but across all cultures to individuals from different ethnic backgrounds.
It is a brilliant and charismatic contemporary piece that will set Chahwanda on the path to greater public performances in collaboration with chart-busters such as Sebastian Magacha, and international gospel artist Llyod Tevedzai of Zimparaise planned for early 2014 in Zimbabwe.
Chahwanda has been on a tour of the UK throughout this year.
He is an Apostolic Faith Ministries UK Youth leader who has shown his peers that in life progress and development, overcoming of adversity in a diverse culture is feasible.
