THE government has engaged continental soccer body, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), to lift its ban on use of all stadia in Zimbabwe from hosting international matches.

Last month, CAF banned Zimbabwe from hosting international soccer matches because of the poor state of its stadia.

However, acting Sports Minister Kazembe Kazembe told journalists Tuesday that work on renovating the National Sports Stadium (NSS) had started with indications they would be 75% ready by the time Zimbabwe plays Algeria on 29 March.
