FORMER Zifa vice president Ndumiso Gumede said he is not interested for a job at Highlanders as chief executive officer.
Gumede’s name was one of the few names that were thrown around for the newly-created post at the Bulawayo giants.
Other names that have emerged are the club’s former secretary Nhlanhla Dube and Zifa education officer Brian Moyo.
But Gumede, a veteran football administrator said his time was up in full time football administration.
“No one has approached me to be chief executive officer. I was surprised to read it in the newspapers that I was likely to take up that job,” Gumede said.
He however said he can only be available on an advisory role.
“Maybe I can only do that in an advisory capacity because I think I have served enough in football. It is my time to rest.”
Gumede has also been reported to be lined up for a top post with the Sports and Recreation Commission or in the Ministry of Sport.Advertisement
