HARARE City will be attempting to perform a Houdini Act when they play Zambian outfit Zanaco in Sunday’s Caf Confederation Cup first round, second leg match at Nkoloma Stadium.
City fell down 2-1 at home last Saturday and overturning that deficit is a gigantic task for Taurai Mangwiro’s charges.
City were set to leave for Zambia on Friday afternoon.
“We know it is not going to be easy for us but anything can happen in football. God-willing we can come back home with a positive result,” Mangwiro said.
“As I said anything is possible in football. We could be in a disadvantaged position but we still have hopes of winning a progressing to the next stage.
“Yes, the hopes are still there. If they managed to beat us at home why can’t we beat them in their own backyard? All we need to do is just avoid conceding while we attack from the start.”
City’s defence was once again exposed when they lost to Zanaco at Rufaro Stadium.
The result saw Mangwiro’s men conceding five goals in three Caf Confederation matches after shipping in three in both legs of the preliminary round against AS Adema of Madagascar.Advertisement
