HARARE City striker Tino Kadewere has charmed Swedish top flight club Djurgården after scoring a brace in an international friendly last week.
Kadewere has been on a one week trial stint with the club which is also home to fellow Zimbabwean Nyasha Mushekwi.
And reports suggest the 19-year-old has impressed the club and an offer is already being prepared for to his club.
The Harare City star scored in the U21 friendly match against rivals AIK.
Kadewere started the match and scored twice in the team’s 7-0 win.
He put his side 2-0 up on 21th minute and then added his second which was the team’s fourth 24 minutes later – thereby attracting rave views from the coach Anders Johansson.
“I think he’s doing a lot right in our game,” said Johansson.
“Tino stays in front of goal and makes a very nice goal where he comes right turn and bends it. He is very nice and calm with the ball.
“He receives and plays on. He is good in depth. There was much that was good about him.”
Kadewere, who lasted for 70 minutes in the match, said he was satisfied with his debut performance for the club.
“It felt good. I thoroughly enjoyed it,” Kadewere was quoted by the club’s website as saying.
“I had been looking forward to it from the first time I heard that I would play. I am glad that I had a good show. I look forward to many great shows here.
“I think I did it well, but this is not me. I can do it much better. I agree that I need to adapt to the weather. I’m not used to it.
“I scored two goals and I’m proud of myself, but I could have done more. I enjoy, it’s good. The people here are kind and nice. I’m very happy.”
The lanky forward flew to France at the weekend for another two week trial stint with French Ligue 2 side Sochaux while negotiations with his club are underway for a move to the Swedish club.
Although he is in France Kadewere says he prefers to stay in Stockholm over Paris. Advertisement
