Harare City tie: Make or break for Dynamos coach

DYNAMOS coach Lloyd Mutasa faces what could be his last supper when his side clash with Harare City in a derby showdown, at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
The Harare giants are reeling from a six-match winless streak that has seen pressure mounting on Mutasa and the rest of his technical team.
A defeat to bottom-placed Border Strikers two weeks ago as well as last weekend’s 1-1 home draw with Bulawayo City have piled more pressure on Mutasa.
Now, Dynamos face a Harare City side that is also struggling to find its groove and a draw on Sunday could ring a death knell in Mutasa’s reign as the club’s coach.
Chances of reclaiming the league title are getting slimmer for Dynamos as they are now 11 points behind leaders FC Platinum wit 11 games to go before the season ends.
But team manager Richard Chihoro has dismissed the supposed job risk at Dynamos.
“We know that results have not been coming our way and naturally that gets us worried. But we are not panicking at all,” Chihoro said.
“In a time like this fans as well as the press say a lot of things about ultimatums to the coach. There is nothing like that.
“We are getting so much support from the club executive and now it is up to us to get things right. We have been working on that at training and we will come out right.”
More pressure has also been on the Dynamos strike force whose forwards are failing to score, with midfielder Masimba Mambare leading the scoring chart at the club with four goals.
Dynamos will once again be without defenders Sydney Linyama and Elisha Muroiwa who are nursing injuries.
