Highlanders boss seeks re-election

DESPITE a Premier Soccer League campaign that saw the chaotic departure of coach Kelvin Kaindu and a fifth place finish, Highlanders Chairman Peter Dube is set for a second term in office.
While Dube says he is yet to decide whether to run again, his allies are convinced he will get another three-year term.
A plot by life member Leeroy Maplanka to force an extraordinary meeting this December failed, meaning the elections will proceed according to the constitution on the last Sunday of January 2015.
The other sticking point in the opposition camp is the lack of a challenger.
The opposition has tried and failed to get board chairman Mgcini Nkolomi and Elkanah Dube to assume executive positions.
The other two positions on offer are that of secretary held by outgoing Andrew Tapela and committee member Charles Moyo who confirmed on Monday that he will seek a second term in office.Advertisement
