HIGHLANDERS overcame a battling Bulawayo City 3-1 at Barbourfields on Sunday to claim second place on the table after FC Platinum were held to a draw by Ngezi Platinum on Saturday.
Highlanders scored through Gabriel Nyoni and Simon Mnawa.
Nyoni scored first with a header before Simon Munawa doubled the lead in the 39th minute.
Bulawayo City pulled one back through a Xolisani Moyo penalty. However King Nadolo wrapped up the win with the third in added time.
With FC Platinum stuttering to a draw 1-1 draw against Ngezi Platinum having lost the previous match 2-1 to Harare City, Bosso emerged the major beneficiaries of that stumble as the dismissed Bulawayo City to overtake the Zvishavane based side and claim second place on the league table with just three matches left in the campaign.
Highlanders now have 53 points one behind log leaders Caps United who drew 3-3 against city rivals Dynamos at the National Sports while FC Platinum are in third place with 52 points.
