How Mine win 2-1 in Zanzibar

ZIMBABWE’S representatives in the Orange Caf Confederation Cup, How Mine, have qualified for the first round of the competition.
The Bulawayo side went through after a 2-1 away win over Chuoni of Zanzibar in the second leg preliminary match played at Amaan Stadium in Unguja on Saturday.
Leading 4-0 from the first leg in Bulawayo last week, Philani Ncube’s charges were never under any pressure although they conceded first away before Thembani Masuku made the scores 1-1 at halftime.
However, former Monomotapa United captain Kudakwashe Musharu scored his third goal in the competition when finding the target with 10 minutes to go for a 2-1 win and 6-1 aggregate victory.
How Mine will now meet either St Michel from Seychelles or ASSM Elgeco Plus from Madagascar.
The first round, first leg fixtures have been set down for the weekend of February 28-March 2 while the second legs would be played over the weekend of March 7-9.Advertisement
