CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe is cautious of Hwange, describing them as difficult opponents to break down as the two teams clash in the Easy Call quarter final tie at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Caps United collected four points from the coal miners in the league this season.
They were first held to a goalless draw at home before winning 1-0 away at the Colliery with striker Dominic Chungwa scoring the priceless goal.
Very few teams have managed to achieve that feat at the stadium the coal miners have turned into a fortress.
Chitembwe, however, is refusing to be carried away by the success over the coal miners. He maintains Hwange are a very difficult side to break down.
“Hwange is a very good team coached by one of the national team coaches (Nation Dube). They are difficult to break down. But we expect to compete, to be very professional in our approach.
“Caps United is an ambitious club. We will try and do well in every competition,” said Chitembwe.
Defender Justice Jangano added that they would try to fight for the Caps United brand.
“Caps United is a big brand. We will fight for the brand. We are out of the championship race so we want to end the season with some silverware. We have a very good chance of progressing to the finals,” said Jangano.
Caps United are out of the championship race with a top four finish now their target.
They were eliminated from the Chibuku Super Cup by ZPC Kariba who handed them a 4-1 defeat on penalties in the quarter finals.
The match had ended in a 2-2 stalemate.
They are now determined to go as far as possible in the tournament this time around.
