AT LEAST 40 former liberation war fighters were last Tuesday arrested in Harare after they staged a brief demonstration over low monthly pensions they are receiving from the government.
The demonstration took place at the Africa Unity Square and hundreds of police officers some in anti-riot gear swamped on them.
They were brought to court after two days and were remanded in remand prison for a night before they were granted bail Friday.
Below are some pictures of the arrest of the war veterans captured by NewZimbabwe.com photographer Thandiwe Garusa.
