Kaiser Chiefs coach slams Nkhatha boo boys

KAISER Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter is questioning his association with the club over the boo-brigade’s victimisation of Zimbabwean striker Kingston Nkhatha.
Nkhatha was targeted again by some Amakhosi fans in the 1-0 win over Chippa United in Polokwane on Saturday night.
And Baxter is getting fed up with it.
He said straight after the game: “I am very tired of it, I’m tired of it. Do I want to continue pushing at a club where you don’t know if your best players are going to be depressed because of it?
“Maybe the decision is I don’t want to be,” said Baxer, who added that he does not like coming to Peter Mokaba Stadium because of the issue.
Meanwhile, the Briton felt his side – who extended their lead at the summit to 14 points and preserved their unbeaten record – lacked “real venom” in the first half against the Chilli Boys.
“I thought we were kind of tired-looking in the first half. We lacked that real movement and venom. I changed it a little bit in the second half and we took charge of the game.
“I don’t know how we didn’t score more goals. They were coming at us and there was more space. We looked more efficient and better all round.”
When asked about his half-time talk, Baxter said: “I told them we were going to make a change. We lacked real venom and the principles that we had, we need to get them back.
“No matter what shape we play, we have to up the ante. The boys might have been feeling the schedule but they increased the tempo so they still had more in the tank.”
The 61-year-old also gave credit to Ugandan import Ivan Bukenya, who was introduced around the half-hour mark following an injury to influential midfield enforcer Willard Katsande.
“Ivan went in after Willard and stood up and the other guys have also got to do it, stand up and be counted.”
