Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat says there is still room for improvement, following their 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns.
The AmaKhosi began the new season with a point against the Champions at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday afternoon
Billiat, who was named Man of the Match on his official debut, admitted it was a tough match.
“Firstly I want to thank God for this opportunity and the supporters who have come in numbers. I know it has been tough for the past three seasons but it’s water under the bridge and we’re ready to start the league,” the Zimbabwean told SuperSport TV.
“It was a tough match, [Sundowns] is a good side I think we have done a lot of things we wanted to do and there’s still room for improvement. I want to thank the teammates, the club and the coach for those opportunities.”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns star indicated that they are still finding their feet under new coach Giovanni Solinas.
“We created not as many [chances] as we wanted to but there are moments where we could’ve taken our chances but it’s a learning curve. We learn everyday. We take it positively. We are not too hard one ourselves we take it one game as it comes,” he concluded.
