WILLARD Katsande claimed his third man of the match award of the campaign following a dominant performance in Kaizer Chiefs’ 3-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday night.
The Zimbabwe international played the full 90 minutes at the heart of the AmaKhosi midfield as the reigning PSL champions stretched their unbeaten run to 11 matches.
He attributed his latest accolade to hard work and the team’s desire to make every game count as the league season runs its course.
“As an individual, I am happy but it was all team effort,” Katsande told the club’s official website. “Hard work is my biggest secret. I am never satisfied and I am always hungry.
“As a team we are not worried about the destination, we are worried about now, the here and now is giving us sleepless nights. We take it one game at a time.”
Chiefs’ busy schedule continues on Sunday when they begin their Nedbank Cup title defence away at National First Division outfit Black Leopards.
