KLM sponsors Zimbabwe Achievers Awards

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced Tuesday that it will be sponsoring the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) in the UK, which are taking place in London on April 20.
The awards will be held at Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Kensington, and recognise Zimbabweans who have made an outstanding contribution for their country in the past year.
Henri Hourcade, General Manager Air France KLM UK and Ireland, said: “Africa is a key area for our business and we are always looking at opportunities develop the links we have. We have a long history of serving destinations in Africa and we continue to fly to a huge network across the continent so that the African community in the UK can do business or visit friends and family.
“It is because of our strong ties in Africa, with Zimbabwe in particular, that it such a pleasure to support these awards, which celebrate the valuable and distinctive contribution made by members of the Zimbabwean community.”
KLM opened the new Harare route last July, with three weekly flights from Heathrow via Amsterdam Schiphol.
