THE late novelist and poet, Chenjerai Hove, who died in exile last year, will this weekend be honoured for championing democracy and freedom of expression during his life time, a continental coalition of arts and cultural organizations has announced.
Hove died in Norway where he had stayed since early 2000.
The late poet and novelist won several international accolades for his outstanding publications during his life time.

“In addition to dedicating a lifetime achievement award to the family of the late Chenjerai Hove in recognition of his work towards freedom of creative expression in Africa, the US Embassy in Zimbabwe will also recognise five Zimbabwean artists for defending human rights and continued work in difficult economic times at the event to be held at Theatre in the Park, Harare on the evening of Saturday the 29th of October,” said Ncube.Advertisement
