BANTU Rovers’ on-loan winger to Chicken Inn Kuda Mahachi is on trial at South African side Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mahachi left the country on Monday for a week-long trial at the rich premiership side and was expected back home on Friday before Chicken Inn host FC Platinum on Sunday.
His manager Mlungisi Moyo believes the 20-year-old’s terrific form would boost his confidence as he tries his luck at the Chloorkorp side.
“There is no doubt Kuda is playing the best football of his career. With the way he has improved this season I believe he is now ripe for bigger challenges as exhibited by his good form,” Moyo said.
“It is good that he makes the grade for the betterment of his career because Sundowns is a very big team. He is still a young man with a lot of potential and this is the time that he makes a big move.”
If the 2012 Rookie of the Year makes the cut, he would make a January move to the Pretoria side where he would join compatriots Khama Billiat, Cuthbert Malajila and Esrom Nyandoro.
Mahachi’s profile has been boosted by his recent break into the Warriors side where he quickly charmed coach Ian Gorowa.
He also had a trial stint at SuperSport United in July, but a deal did not come through.Advertisement
