Mambare faces former paymasters in Bob Cup

FORMER Highlanders forward Masimba Mambare, now donning the blue and white of Dynamos, faces his former paymasters in a potentially explosive final of the Bob 90 Super Cup at Rufaro on Sunday.
The Warriors forward left Highlanders to join the Zimbabwe champions on a three year deal ahead of their participation in the African Champions League.
He featured in Dynamos’ failed 2014 African Champions League campaign and scored one goal in his first game against Botswana’s Mochudi Centre in the first leg of the preliminary round in Harare.
However, on Sunday as the two old foes resume their rivalry, Mambare will be in the spot-light.
Meetings between Highlanders and Dynamos have always been feisty and with the two sides meeting in a league match on Week 12 of the 2014 Premier Soccer League fixtures, it will be interesting to see who will emerge triumphant come Sunday.
Tournament organiser Charles Mabika said they had pegged the gate entry fees at $3 for the rest of the ground, $5 for upper west stand and $10 for VIP.
Highlanders booked a berth in the final after beating Harare City 2-1 at Barbourfields Stadium last month while Dynamos were given a bye.
Dynamos, who were booted out of the African Champions League following a 1-0 defeat to AS Vita of the Democratic Republic of Congo, are the defending champions after mauling Highlanders 6-1 on aggregate in a two-legged tie last year.
