AS has been widely speculated, former Caps United coach Taurai Mangwiro has emerged as the favourite to take over at Dynamos.
Dynamos boss Calisto Pasuwa has indicated he will not renew his contract at the end of the month and the club leadership has wasted no time in searching for a replacement.
Mangwiro says he is open to offers.
“I am available to any team that needs my services and that includes Dynamos, Harare City and Highlanders who are all searching for coaches,” he said.
Mangwiro quit Caps on Friday, having gone for months without getting paid. Caps finished third in the league and qualified for the Mbada Diamonds Cup.
Caps spokesperson Joyce Kapota said they were shocked by Mangwiro’s decision. The club will likely opt for continuity under assistant coach Mike Madzivanyika.
Dynamos flighted an advert last Thursday stating they needed a coach with Caf A or better, qualifications that Mangwiro has.
It is understood an offer has been made for their former player and Mangwiro has agreed in principle to the deal.
Mangwiro was linked to Dynamos at the start of the 2014 season but decided to stay put at the former champions.
