Mangwiro wary of Chidzambwa’s ZPC Kariba

HARARE City coach Taurai Mangwiro has conceded that Saturday’s Chibuku Super Cup semifinal match against ZPC Kariba at Mandava Stadium would be a tough following their opponents’ recent resurgence.
ZPC Kariba go into this match on the backdrop of three straight games without tasting defeat following a slow start to the season.
City on the other hand have not won their last two games in a season they have been inconsistent.
“We know we are facing a team which is high in confidence judging from their recent form. I watched them beat Flame Lily last week and their body language said a lot about their determination,” Mangwiro said.
“This makes this game a tough one for us. But football is all about challenges and we are ready to face any test that comes our way. That will make us strong as well.
“We have been blowing hot and cold in our league matches so this is a chance for us to pick ourselves up.”
Harare City finished as losing finalists in this competition last season where they narrowly missed out on glory after losing to FC platinum on penalties in the final.
They were then under Masimba Dinyero who is now with the club’s junior structures.Advertisement
