CAPS United coach Taurai Mangwiro’s future was thrown into uncertainty on Monday following their 0-0 draw at How Mine in a league match at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
The result saw United missing the opportunity to close in on rivals and log leaders Dynamos who were also held to a draw by FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium on Saturday.
CAPS were left stuck in fourth place on the league table with 39 points from 22 matches and four points adrift of the log leaders.
Missiles were thrown on the field towards the end of the match as fans vented their anger at Mangwiro whom they accused of sabotaging the team to enable Dynamos- the team he played for win the league title.
Police had to battle to control the rowdy supporters who tried in vain to prevent the team bus from leaving the stadium after the match.
It was Caps United’s second consecutive draw after coming out with another 0-0 draw against lowly Bantu Rovers in the previous league match.
