FORMER Shabanie Mine coach Luke Masomere has officially joined Buffaloes on a one-year contract.
He will be assisted by the club’s former head coach Timothy Masachi.
This follows an announcement by Shabanie Mine that they had parted ways with the outspoken coach who had fallen out of favour with a section of the club executive.
Late last year Masomere admitted that Buffaloes had contacted him amid rumours that he had already signed for the Mutare side.
Triangle were also chasing after his services.
“I can confirm that I am now the Buffaloes coach. The club here is very professional and I am looking forward to a successful time here,” Masomere said.
“We are now getting down to serious business as we try to assemble a strong squad for this season. Right now I will not disclose the players who are coming here but we will have a good team.”
Masomere is said to be trying to lure his former striker at Shabanie Mine Pervington Zimunya who is also a Caps United target.
Buffaloes have already lost defender Themba Ndlovu to reigning champions Dynamos while veteran midfielder Wonder Sithole has joined How Mine.
They have however managed to retain their chief marksmen Jacob Muzokomba and Steven Sibanda.Advertisement
