Masomere staying at Shabanie Mine

LUKE Masomere has made a sudden U-turn, declaring he is still the Shabanie Mine coach, but has set conditions for the club to ensure his stay.
Masomere in October announced that he would leave Shabanie at the end of the season owing to his frosty relationship with the club executive.
But with the season having come to an end, the championship winning coach said he is still a Shabanie coach and is open for the renewal of his contract which expires at the end of this month.
He, however, asserted that he will renew his deal if guaranteed conducive working conditions.
“I have not yet left Shabanie because I still have a running contract with them which is, however, nearing its end. I am willing to stay here, but that is subject to good working conditions. I will also look at the kind of contract I am offered,” Masomere said.
Buffaloes are said to have renewed interest in him after he was first linked with them mid-way through the season when they were reported to have offered him a job.
It was during the time when he was taking time to extend his contract at Shabanie before he went on to guide the club to the US$120,000 prize money of the BancABC Sup8r Cup.Advertisement
