THE MDC Alliance councillor for Ward 8 in Bulawayo, Ronnia Mudhara died Monday at a local hospital following kidney failure.
Mudhara, a long-serving MDC Alliance councillor has been in the party’s structures for over two decades.
The party’s Bulawayo provincial spokesperson Swithern Chirowodza confirmed Mudhara’s death.
“We have lost one of our long-serving councillor and party cadre Ronnia Mudhara. She was a hardworking councillor and party member. We will miss her in the party,” said Chirowodza in an interview with NewZimbabwe.com.
Acting President, Welshman Ncube, accompanied by national and provincial leaders visited the Mudhara’s family residence in Mzilikazi suburb to pay his and the party’s condolences.
Mudhara was a Ward 8 councillor which covers Barbourfields, Thorngroove and Mzilikazi suburbs.

She leaves behind three children Bibiana, Russell, Brandon and two grandchildren Leroy and Anotida.
Mourners are gathered at the family house in Mzilikazi.
