Mushekwi heading back to Sundowns

ZIMBABWE international Nyasha Mushekwi is heading back to Mamelodi Sundowns after spending a season on loan with Belgian side KV Oostende.
The 26-year-old has one more year on his contract with the Brazilians, but his return will be short-lived as the club has already reached its foreign quota for next season.
Zimbabweans Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila, Togolese Dove Wome, Zambian Mukuka Mulenga and Ghanaian Rashied Sumaila occupied the five spots allocated to foreigners in the previous campaign.
Nigeria international Ejike Uzoenyi, who signed for Downs in January, is arriving after the 2014 World Cup and his presence will likely force out Sumaila.
KickOff.com understands that Sundowns are waiting for the World Cup to finish before selling Sumaila. This means, even though Mushekwi will return, he will be shipped out before the end of the transfer window.
“Nyasha is our player and he will return for assessment like other players who spent a loan at various clubs,” Sundowns communications co-ordinator Thulani Thuswa tells this website.
“He got injured before the end of the season and as his parent club, we need to take him back, allow him to recuperate, assess him before making any decisions.”
Orlando Pirates are the only PSL side to have reportedly shown an interest in the striker.Advertisement
