ZIMBABWEAN international striker Nyasha Mushekwi could be back at his South African Premiership club after bidding farewell to KV Oostende fans when he confirmed having played his last match for the Belgian club.
The former Caps United striker tweeted a farewell to club fans Thursday.
“Will always love u Oostende, thank u for the little time we shared,” he said.
“It was a great season for the team and wish you well going forward. Will miss you,” he added.
Mushekwi has been on loan for the past season with the Belgian side from South African Premiership side Mamelodi Sundowns.
He however picked up a knee ligament injury that is likely to keep him sidelined up to the end of the year.
The Warriors striker, 26, has one year left on his contract at Chloorkop after the club took up an option and had been previously linked with another South African club Orlando Pirates in January this year.
Mushekwi has scored 40 goals in 53 starts for Sundowns and was the club’s top scorer in the 2012/13 season with six goals, but has been deemed surplus to requirements under the new regime.Advertisement
