ZIMBABWE international striker Nyasha Mushekwi is hoping to leave Mamelodi Sundowns on a free in order to sign with a team of his choice.
The big striker has been frozen out at Sundowns and has not been training with the club.
The Brazilians have not registered him for the current season and the player has, according to reports from South Africa, asked to be released from his contract.
The 28-year-old is already in the last year of his contract, which expires at the end of the current campaign.
This means Sundowns could look to cash in on the player for a minimal fee in the January transfer window.
Mushekwi has been linked with several clubs, including English side Leicester City.

However, Sundowns have moved swiftly and asked the player to return to training, even though he is still not registered for the current season.
Reports suggested the Zimbabwean has agreed to go back to training because he wants to keep fit in case a move happens in January for him.
“Yes Nyasha is back in training because the team asked him and also because he wants to keep fit as there is a possibility of him moving in January and he wants to be fit,” said sources in South Africa.
“There are teams interested in him but there is nothing concrete at the moment.
“He just wants to make sure he is ready when that time and chance comes.”Advertisement
